Networking and Media Services provides reliable and responsive IT services and infrastructure to units in the UNC Office of the President and UNC General Administration. Services include desktop support and training, networking design and maintenance, system administration, video-conferencing services, audio-visual services, IT equipment procurement and general IT consulting.

The staff also provides some IT services to WUNC-TV, the N.C. Center for School Leadership Development, N.C. State Approving Agency, GEAR UP North Carolina, N.C. Center for Nursing, N.C. Center for International Understanding and other programs associated with UNC General Administration.
