The enterprise data warehouse project was initiated in late 2004, when a data management architecture was adopted.  Since that time, a team has identified required resources and begun evaluation of operational data store (ODS) and extract/transform/load (ETL) products. 

A pilot warehouse, the UNC Unified Financial Data Model, served as proof-of-concept and went into production in July of 2005.

Next steps include completion of product evaluations (including reporting and presentation tools), recommendations for implementation and securing resources so that the implementation can begin.
