Web Enabling Student Services is a collaborative project under the auspices of the Alliance to web enable a variety of administrative services related to admissions, registration, financial aid and student life. The three-year project is creating a higher standard of service for prospective and enrolled students across the state by providing online capabilities otherwise unavailable to some campuses.

During initial planning, a student services workgroup identified 53 student services that could be offered online to improve the delivery of administrative support to students and staff. Web enabling these services then became the Alliance's first initiative. The services reflect common priorities of participating campuses, and the project leverages software investments and UNC expertise. Campuses participating in the project select the services needed by their institutions and establish their own target dates for moving those services into production.
