The North Carolina State Approving Agency (NC SAA) is a special agency established by a contractual agreement between the federal Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) and the state of North Carolina. NC SAA is one of 50 agencies established by the DVA in each state of the United States. Authority is provided under Title 38, U.S.C. and DVA Contract No.V101 (223B) P 3843, Article I, Areas of State Responsibility. NC SAA is administratively assigned to the University of North Carolina, General Administration.
