Academic Planning

Quick Search

Academic Planning coordinates UNC's participation in the Academic Common Market (ACM), which is an arrangement among the sixteen southern states whereby certified residents can pursue not commonly available degrees in another state and pay in-state tuition. It is sponsored by the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB).

North Carolina and two other states (Florida and Texas) participate only at the graduate level (master's and doctoral degree programs).

Selected first professional degree programs in schools of dentistry, medicine, optometry, osteopathic medicine, podiatry, and veterinary medicine are covered by the SREB's Regional Contract Program. North Carolina participates in the RCP for the study of optometry. Applications are handled through the College Foundation of North Carolina.
