Opportunities to Do Business with the Universities

North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general contractors for renovations to the utility infrastructure serving Data Center II, located in Administrative Services III on NC State's Central Campus. The project will provide redundancy for electrical and chilled water supply to Data Center II and will include revisions to utility distribution within Administrative Services III, a new chiller and emergency generator. The new equipment will be located in the service court between Administrative Services III and Administrative Services II on Sullivan Drive. To qualify, the contractor must have a general contractor's license in the State of North Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements. The contractor must show comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value, and preferably in a University campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above. NC State University has an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting, and conducting business with women and minority owned enterprises. Women and minority contractors are encouraged to participate in the prequalification process.

To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State University Project Manager and submit a sealed, fully completed qualification document by 5:00 pm, September 4, 2013, to Bill Davis, project manager, at Administrative Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Dr., Suite 331, NCSU, Campus Box 7520, Raleigh, NC 27695-7520. Completed qualification packages will not be accepted electronically.
