| | Prequalifying for | | Roofing. The base bid scope of work includes the removal of
approximately 58,000 sqft. of existing roofing and
replacement with a thermoplastic membrane roof system (some
standing seam metal also included), and associated
through-wall flashing replacement, copper repairs, interior
structural steel framing modifications, and fall protection
system installation. Portions of the roof replacement
project incorporate removal and disposal of asbestos
containing roofing materials.
Bid Alternates for the project include an additional 28,000
sqft. of roof replacement and the masonry repair and fall
protection scope associated with the added roof areas to be
replaced. Roof framing repairs/modifications to provide
support for a roof-mounted solar panel system to be
installed as a separate project are also included.
Pre-Qualification is mandatory to be eligible to bid on the
project. Bid Document availability to Pre-Qualified Bidders
is anticipated for August 2013 with a bid date in
August/September 2013. A 180-day construction period with a
30-day contract time increase if specific bid alternates are
selected is anticipated. Project cost is anticipated to be
on the order of $2M but will vary based on the selection of
bid alternates.
