The building commissioning agent will be responsible for
commissioning a new Academic Hospital Campus in the Town of
Hillsborough, NC. The new facility will be an extension of
the current UNC Hospitals Medical Center in Chapel Hill and
will include 1) a 255,000sf medical building containing
radiographic diagnostic and treatment equipment, Med/Surg
Inpatient beds, ICU Beds, Emergency Department, Support
Services and a Central Utility Plant and 2) a 60,000 sf
clinic building. The project will be designed to achieve
LEED certification. Estimated construction cost is $132M for
both. The project delivery method will be Construction
Manager at Risk. The commissioning agent will be
responsible for commissioing the mechanical, electrical,
plumbing, and lab specialty systems and equipment to
validate performance meets design requirements. For more
