Opportunities to Do Business with the Universities

NC State has approximately 1 mile of tunnels for piping providing steam to classroom and laboratory buildings for heat and process loads. The tunnels are showing some deterioration and are in need of repair. This project will provide design to repair spalls and delaminations, to apply corrosion resistant sealants for exposed rebar, to inject epoxy to seal cracks, to reinforce the existing concrete walls and ceilings where minor structural deterioration is present, and to reinforce the tunnel surfaces where more extensive deterioration is occurring.
