The design team, under the leadership of an architectural
firm, will include MEP engineers, structural engineer,
landscape architect, civil engineer, interior designer,
theater design consultant, and acoustician. The project will
include but not be limited to the expansion of the lobby,
restrooms renovations, modifications to the stages, some
flooring replacement, replacement of theater seating,
improvements to stage access for loading and striking,
improvements to acoustics and sound equipment, replacement
of theatrical lighting and dimming systems, HVAC system
modifications, and some roofing and window replacements.
This project will be funded by 2016 NC Connect Bond and a
private donation.
Interested firms should submit four (4) copies of your
letter of interest and four (4) copies of your current SF
330 to the central campus mail address shown below by 5:00
PM on July 12, 2016.
Each copy should be bound and not exceed fifteen (15) 8-1/2
x 11 inch sheets plus the SF-330 form. Interested designers
must be properly licensed to practice in the State of North
Carolina.
In accordance with our qualifications-based selection
system, designers are expected to make no contact with our
University staff, faculty or trustees at this stage of the
