 Project Description One-Two Sentences
East Carolina University is seeking the services of a qualified firm for design, coordination and construction of utility services for the subject project. This project requires engineering design capabilities for building HVAC systems, underground chilled water and steam systems, medium voltage electrical as well as storm and sanitary sewer disciplines. Various schematic studies have been completed for HVAC repairs and chilled water service for some of these buildings. In addition, the project includes replacement of steam supply to Speight Building as well as medium voltage electrical work. The area where these utilities will be constructed is very congested with various underground utilities. The selected firm will review existing studies in consideration of development of their own consolidated final design to develop a single coordinated set of bid documents. The intent of the bid documents will be to allow the various kinds of work to be constructed as appropriate for the utility services involved in an economical, orderly and coordinated manner. Interested firms should submit six (6) copies of their current SF330, a portfolio of relevant work and a letter of interest. To be considered for this project, ensure that your submission is received at the below address before 5:00 p.m. on June 7, 2016. In accordance with our qualifications-based selection system, designers are expected to make no contact with our University staff, faculty or trustees at this stage of the selection process. All questions should be directed to the attention of this office. East Carolina University encourages participation by MWBE firms and supports UNC system's policy of ensuring and promoting opportunities for Historically Underutilized Businesses. Thank you for your interest in East Carolina University.
