Pre-Proposal Meeting:
January 26, 2016 at 3:00 PM located at Chase Dining
Hall's End Zone Room (2nd Floor) of the dining hall
located at 320 Ridge Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. (Please
note this is a rescheduling of the meeting originally
planned for Friday, 1/22.)
The project will explore options to renovate approximately
5,028 square feet of existing large meeting rooms and
ancillary spaces on the 2nd floor, or constructing a new
dining space on the hardscape of Rams Plaza. Either option
would allow for additional seating (est. 150 to 200 seating
preferred) and would necessitate the inclusion of a beverage
station on the second floor, or create a Residential
Restaurant in the upstairs area of Rams Head at the plaza as
the second option. The plaza option would need to have a
unique upscale offerings and appearance. The plaza option
may also require the mitigation of poor site drainage at the
intersection of the Rams Head Bridge and plaza. The designer
and UNC would need to look at the cost/benefit providing the
following scope to determine the best course of action. Once
determined, the project will enter into the advance planning
and construction services. | |
