Opportunities to Do Business with the Universities

Appalachian State University seeks a qualified design team to provide professional architectural and engineering services for a new residence hall. This building will replace Winkler Hall, which was demolished in 2014. The new facility will be constructed on the same site as Winkler Hall, located on West Campus. The new building, 4-5 stories in height, is anticipated to house 350 students, accommodate an apartment for a Resident Director and provide shared lounge/ study space. Additional project requirements will be given to the teams that are short listed and/ or selected. Current funding authority is for advanced planning only. The selected firm may be retained through full design and construction at the University's option. Please note that three copies of the proposal are requested, limiting the length to 20 pages (or 10 front and back), exclusive of the SF330. Electronic submittals will not be accepted.
