The UNC-MAHEC Education Building will consist of
approximately 36,000 square feet on 3 levels. The ground
level will house a surgical simulation lab serving MAHEC
residents in General Surgery, Family Medicine OB/Gyn,
Psychiatry, Sports Medicine programs. The Simulation Lab
will also serve community education needs such as EMS/EMT
training.
The second level will house clinical space for the MAHEC
Psychiatry Residency programming, as well as offices for the
Center for Health Professions Education, student study
spaces and a cafe/student lounge/special events area. The
third level will house classroom and office space for the
School of Medicine, Center for Health Professions Education,
and School of Public Health programs.
