Sealed proposals will be received by UNC Asheville in Asheville, NC in the Main conference room, room S208, Sam Millar Facilities Complex, UNC Asheville, One University Heights, Asheville, NC 28804, Attn: Mr. Dan Croisant, up to the date and time provided below, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of Owen Hall and Carmichael Hall Interior Demolition, SCO#16-15490-02A Bids will be received for lump sum single prime contract from Pre-qualified bidders. The following general contractors have been pre-qualified: - Dore & Associates Contracting, Inc. - H&M Constructors - Neo Corporation - Target Contractors, LLC Pre-Bid Meeting An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018, at 3:00pm, in the Main conference room, room S208, Sam Millar Facilities Compex, UNC Asheville, One University Heihgts, Asheville, NC 28804. This meeting is mandatory for the pre-qualified general contractors. Pre-qualified general contractors not in attendance at this meeting will not be allowed to submit a proposal. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms. Complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be open for inspection in the offices of Clark Nexsen, 301 College Street, Suite 300, Asheville, NC 28801, during normal business hours, starting on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018. And, complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be available for download. And, printed copies may be ordered and obtained by those qualified as prime bidders, upon deposit of Three hundred and fifty dollars ($350.00) per set. The check shall be made out to Clark Nexsen. Contractors may obtain a maximum of 2 sets on deposit. The full plan deposit will be returned to those bidders provided all documents are returned in good, usable condition within ten (10) days after the bid date. The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
