Opportunities to Do Business with the Universities

This project will advance the Centennial Campus Utilities Master plan and extend central thermal utilities to the College of Textiles (COT), the Monteith Engineering Research Center (MRC), and the Constructed Facilities Laboratory (CFL) which will provide utilities to heat, cool, and meet process needs. Currently, COT and MRC have the original stand-alone thermal plants. The project will include approximately 2000 LF of chilled water supply and return and approximately 2500 LF of high pressure steam and pumped condensate from existing services on Main Campus Drive to the COT, MRC, and CFL facilities. The project will include demolition of the existing equipment, piping and pumping modifications within the existing facilities and extend new underground piping, manholes, and controls. A pre-bid meeting and site visit will be held on July 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM to review the drawings and specifications and to provide an opportunity for bidders to assess the project's existing conditions. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is MANDATORY. Pre-qualified bidders are Crowder Construction, Mid-Atlantic Infrastructure Systems, Muter Construction, Pipeline Utilities,Thalle Construction, and Quate Industrial Services.
