a small addition to enclose the loading dock and renovation
of the intermediate level of the building. Work includes
sitework for additional parking and
walkways, partial interior demolition and new construction
of partitions, HVAC distribution, new AHU,electrical
devices, plumbing fixtures and new finishes.
Sealed proposals from Prequalified Bidders will be received
until 3:00pm on October 28, 2014, in Magnolia Conference
Room (Rm 100A), Giles F Horney Building, 103 Airport Drive,
Chapel Hill, NC , 27599 at which time and place bids will be
opened and read.
The following General Contractors are prequalified: AAR of
NC, Bar Construction, Bordeaux, Choate, CT Wilson, Danis, HM
Kern, Inland Construction, Lomax, Metcon, Monteith and New
Atlantic.

during normal office hours. Plan Deposit is $100.
An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested
bidders on October 8, 2014 at 8:00 am, in Conference Room
178 at Aycock Family Medicine Center, 590 Manning Drive,
Chapel Hill, NC. An agenda item is to identify preferred
brand alternates and their performance standards that the
owner will consider for approval on this project; the
preferred brand alternates are Hubbell telecomm components,
Panduit cable management, Optical Cable Corporation cable
management, Wiremold power strip, Commscope cable, Corning
connector, Siemon block, AllenTel backboard, Saunders
runway, Erico ground bar, Corbin Russwin locksets, Flow
Control Industries control valves, ABB variable frequency
drives, Schneider controls, and Sloan flush valves.
