Sealed proposals will be received by the UNC General Administration for the construction of the President's Residence, Addition and Renovations. Only single prime bids from Pre-Qualified General Contractors will be accepted. All proposals shall be lump sum. The following Prime Contractors have been pre-qualified to submit bids on this project: - H.M. Kern - King Construction - Resolute Building Company - D.S. Simmons - C.T. Wilson Complete sets of drawings and specifications may be purchased by pre-approved prime bidders upon request from Imaging Technologies Services (Morrisville, NC; 919-388-9900) at cost on a non-refundable basis; all shipping costs are to be borne by bidders. Electronic files of the drawings and specifications may be ordered from the office of John B. Hawkins AIA Architect, 312 West Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27599. An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested 2nd & 3rd tier bidders and vendors at the UNC GA headquarters, 910 Raleigh Road, Chapel Hill, NC on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Attendees are to meet in the lobby of the UNC GA headquarters (C.D. Spangler Building.) This meeting will address project specific issues. The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
