The project consists of road and site improvements to a portion of the road and adjacent site of South Columbia Street, north of Manning Drive. The work includes:demolition of existing curb and sidewalk,site grading,tree protection,temporary traffic control work,minor storm drainage work, resurfacing of existing road surface, installation of new street lighting,construction of new site work such as: sidewalks (concrete and brick paver), stone faced retaining walls, stone walls, exterior stairs, and stone bollards,preparation of site and soil for plantings (all plantings are not in contract). All bidders must be on NCDOT prequalified contractor list.
