The BIS degree program is designed exclusively for students holding an Applied Associate Degree from an accredited 2 year institution of higher education. The proposed offering is intended primarily for residents of North Carolina holding or preparing to graduate with such a degree. Only certain BIS Majors and specified Tracks are to be offered online, as follows: MAJOR TRACK Applied Professional Studies Advertising Economic Development Office Administration Financial Administration Applied Information Technology Operations Management Criminal Justice Applied Information Technology Sociology Public and Non-Profit Administration General (no Track Specified) Financial Administration | |

These specific Tracks of these four BIS degree majors will be offered in a manner in which they may be completed entirely online through the internet. They are also currently offered at the The University main campus at Pembroke. Three of the Tracks (Applied Professional Studies: Office Administration; Criminal Justice:Sociology; and Public and Non-Profit Administration) are also currently available for our students at three of our distance education locations at community-college settings in face-to-face and interactive video formats (Cape Fear Community College, Sandhills Community College, and Richmond Community College). Therefore, some students may complete their BIS Majors along these Tracks through a combination of delivery methods. | |
