New Degree Programs
Academic Planning coordinates notifications of intent to plan new degree programs and makes recommendations to the Committee on Educational Planning, Policies, and Programs on requests to establish these programs. It also coordinates requests to discontinue a degree program.
The process for new baccalaureate and master's degrees is different from the process for doctoral and first professional degrees, which involve consultation with the UNC Graduate Council.
