The goal of the national WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) initiative is to transform regional economies through strategies that include the integration of economic development and workforce development at the regional level. In the Piedmont Triad, the Piedmont Triad Partnership (PTP) is implementing an integrated plan for workforce, education, economic development, innovation and entrepreneurship that will result in the creation of high-skill, high-wage jobs across the Piedmont Triad and significantly strengthen the Region’s global competitiveness.
Beginning in 2009, CFNC is collaborating with the PTP to train all JobLink Center staff in the Piedmont Triad on CFNC.org resources and to provide enhanced web resources for adults seeking career information and additional education.
