Students @Work Week: March 3 - 7, 2014 

GEAR UP NC district expectations
Sponsored by the North Carolina Business Committee for Education (NCBCE), in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI)
Goal: Provide at least one career exploration and/or job service to your 7th, 8th, and 12th grade students and families. Use resources on CFNC.org, take a group of students to a local employer for job shadowing, and/or bring in alum to speak about their career experience!

Personal Financial Literacy Month: April 2014

Goal: Provide at least one financial literacy service to your 7th, 8th, and 12th grade students.

Decision Day: May 1, 2014

Goal: During FAFSA Day, college financial aid counselors provide free information to help students and their parents. Invite and encourage your GEAR UP seniors and their parents/guardians submit and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

NC College Application Week: November 18-22, 2013

Goal: To provide every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college online using CFNC.org with particular focus on first-generation students and students who may not have otherwise applied to college.
